Dishwasher - Brasserie Du Vin » read more
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Installation: One HydroFlow unit installed Feb 16, 2011
Case study: 298 days
Goal: Significantly reduce scale build up in dishwasher
Field Test Conclusion
• Lime-scale buildup reduction: Noticeable reduction of lime-scale buildup within 60 days. Noticeable lime scale dissolving within 180 days
• Maintenance: Cleaning is required until lime scale is eliminated; after that no maintenance required.
• Estimated cost savings and benefits: Heat exchangers are working more efficiently; the water heaters will last longer. There will no longer be any accumulation of lime scale in the dishwasher and its performance will increase. Significant reduction of water spots on the glassware.

Dishwasher - Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio » read more
Location: Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii
Goal: Significantly reduce scale build up in dishwasher
Installation location: on the pump of the filter between the heater and the dishwasher
Field Test Conclusion
• Lime-scale buildup reduction: Noticeable reduction of lime-scale buildup within 60 days.
*Note: the maintenance person came to us on March 12, 2012 and thanked us for the solution
supplied, because he no longer had to scrub the inside of the dishwasher, which was an
unpleasant job with no reward.
• Maintenance: "Cleaning and using LineAway is recommended until lime scale" is reduced or
eliminated, after that no maintenance required.

Steamer - Marriot Ko Olina Beach Club » read more
Location: Kapolei, Oahu
Installation: S38 installed September 15, 2011
Goal: Significantly reduced scale buildup in a steamer
Field Test Conclusion
• Lime-scale buildup reduction: The increased performance was noticeable within 14 days.
• Maintenance: The piping inside the steamer was getting cleaned every two weeks before the installation of Hydroflow. After the installation of HydroFlow the semimonthly cleaning was no longer necessary as the pipes in the steamers were not clogged with lime scale anymore; in fact there was a soft paste instead of the hard scale. During the quarterly cleaning; it was noticed that the scale deep in the steamers was soft and did not have to
be removed with a wire brush. Just a soft scrub was used. The future quarterly cleaning is expected to have no buildup at all. During annual inspections we may just see a thin white paste in the pipes, that can be removed with one wipe using a soft nylon brush.
• Estimated return on investment due to maintenance cost savings: 12 months or less.
